I'ts time I mention the The Pandora Project anew. We're still in dire need of colorers. And since I got 50 (!) pageviews yesterday, I must becoming widely known, therefore… XP [Honestly, 50 pvs are much for me. I think most were 80 one day. So in my little world with humble expectations, this makes me all fuzzy.]
Scientist: Was it the right thing to do? I mean, we've made INCONCIEVABLE progress. We achieved things beyond belief, just because of him. But when he went insane and lost his psychic integrity… Damn, this chuggling cell mass we keep alive… it creeps me out. Creeps ALL of us out. To know that this once was a sentient human… To make a sacrifice for mankind… if self-abandonment for the suffering is what makes one a hero, then he's the greatest hero I've ever seen. Without having beaten up just one criminal. It's perhaps a little bit too late to deliver myself a sermon. For I'm in this up to my throat for years. And no one will understand what we did and comprehend how we suffered. No one will thank us for destroying ourselves.
Yeah, well, I could have added more shadows beneath the desk or to the shoe, but hey, look at that shoe - it's perfect! I had no heart to destroy this beautiful lineart with more black.
Also, it's a little difficult with the scientist. Sadly, it's a stereotype which stems from the end of the 19th century that scientists are amoral, ruthless individuals without conscience and is endlessly reproduced in media. I now realise that with this depiction I contribute to this image, but when I firstd rew it I didn't. Alas.
