Ah, I like old stuff like this. I just became 12 then. I like it because it shows m how much I've developped since then, both drawing- and storytelling-wise. I really drew this on my father's old working papers. I still do most of my sketches today, I've still got half a meter of it :) Note my unique way of storytelling: I was the only audience I had in mind, I knew exactly what was going on but nobody else. I knew the background story, I provided the dialogue in my mind; this was truly a story just told for me :) Now as you can see, the action breaks up ins evereal parts: 1. Kristall jumps out of the jeweller's shop (indicated by two pieces of jewellery in the broken vitrine). 2. Lila and Flamme arrive and shoot at him, but he dodges them. Note that Flamme could fly back then, something I eliminated. It's physically challenging that he can even burn, I have no clue of what his body must be made of. Lila also wields Boss's special gun. 3. Kristall sees Grotesque in his car mode and jumps into. He's carrying a sack with "DM" printed on it which stands for "Deutsche Mark" (good old times before the Euro) so I think he stole money fromt he safe but no jewellery. This is influenced by US cartoons with sacks with the dollar sign on them. 4. Grotesque then turnes into human form and clamps Kristall.
Haven't I been incredibly economical? Showing all this action which would require a dozen panels or so, severel pages if done properly, on ONE single page, indicating the action by motion lines? I was so lazy! But hey, the reader (i.e. I) understood it, so it worked perfectly.
