Classroom management is a fundamental element that is used to facilitate a structured, safe and by all means, enjoyable learning environment.

Key components to classroom management include:

1) An appealing curriculum
2) A consistent routine of classroom activities
3) Methods for dealing with student conflict and varying emotions
4) Concise instruction by a confident, yet academically and psychologically sound instructor

Above all else, establishing a list of rules to mold student behavior (whether for positive or negative reinforcement), is indeed the centerpiece of classroom management. These rules should be enforced without compromise and used to encourage an atmosphere of respect, motivation and student success by their own efforts and merit.

For effective classroom management, a teacher should create no more than ten comprehensive and reasonable classroom rules.
