The Spanish Inquisition…

During team photos, Ethan St. Ives begins to drift in and out of reality as Vanessa Castro is talking to him. Vanessa is looking on at the way Anna talks and touches Teddy. Vanessa observes that Anna and Teddy’s friendship is more than friendly. Ethan thinks nothing of their relationship and begins to imagine speaking Spanish, and passionately kissing Vanessa. When Ethan comes to, he’s kissing a soccer ball.

Seth and Vanessa tell Ethan to snap out of it so they can leave for Studio City, but do not want to leave until they find Teddy. Ethan explains that earlier, he overheard Teddy and Anna having a conversation about “baseball”. It concerns Vanessa even more when Ethan tells them Anna talked about “hitting a home run in the principal’s office”. Since she sees Teddy and Anna are no where to be found, Vanessa immediately runs to the main building. Seth is running behind her to calm her down. She is frustrated that Teddy has moved on to someone else after breaking up with Mary – Vanessa cannot understand why Teddy continues to ignore her affection for him and begins to feel she cannot compete with someone as pretty and adventurous as Anna Wade. Just around the corner, Teddy runs into Vanessa and says that he was in the Nurse’s office getting checked out. Just as Teddy and Vanessa were looking into each other’s eyes, Seth reminds Teddy that time is ticking and they need to get to Studio City. Teddy quickly runs out the school exit to assemble the team – leaving Vanessa without a resolution to her questions about Teddy’s relationship with Anna.
