Okay, after making this I noticed it wasn't all that clear. So, Bill and Po were being sarcastic when they said they already tried jumping. They just didn't, for obvious reasons, want to jump off the 50,000 foot cliff.

Then Charmander, thinking he will be safely teleported back to the top, should he jump off, decides to give it a try. Then he crashes to the ground not far from Ninva and Frank.
