I took "artistic liberties" with the third panel (and subsequent ones): Of course, you can't see any laser pulses in clear weather. Even if the beam illuminates the dust, they are so short that they can hardly be perceived. But since the Chinese hypersonic missiles are also extremely fast, I tried to visualize that the Russians are fighting them with their laser artillery - as early as possible, at high altitude, so that the pesons on the ground do not perceive the sound of the explosions at first.
