Lay Off His Nuts For Awhile

So Heath Ledgers performance of Joker was amazing, as was the inner workings of the film itself. Dark Knight was sheer brilliance, best movie of the year or at least in my eyes (and I'm an Indiana Jones loving geek).

BUT

I'm sick of the excessive amounts of people hopping on the Joker band wagon. If you never read a Batman comic a day in your life, why is a dead actor's portrayal of the Joker give you the right to act as if you know every fucking thing about batman? Worse than that, why is the dead guy alone fueling your desire to see a super hero movie if you have no respect for the source material for the film.
case and point:
i caught the 12:01 AM showing of Dark Knight thursday night (errr very early friday morning)
swarms of people packed the theater
and I over heard "Who the fuck is Harvey Dent"
from a man purchasing a ticket…
then I hear people displeased with the movie because it was too "psychological" for them….

HEATH LEDGERS DEATH ALONE SHOULDNT MAKE YOU SEE THE MOVIE
and yes Heath Ledger was a great joker, but if you do an imitation of HIS Joker, remember, you are spitting on his grave and if you only love his portrayal of the character alone and not the source material for batman
YOU ARE SPITTING IN THE FACE OF PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LIKE BATMAN COMICS AND ARENT SEEING A SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER BECAUSE OF THE BROKEBACK COWBOYS DEATH.
