As you have undoubtedly noticed, this story is not going to have any dialogue. I've always admired the "silent comics" of Sergio Aragnones and for a long time I've desired to experiment with that format. Naturally, adapting a silent film is a painless way to accomplish such a thing.
Out of all the pages in this comic, I think this one turned out the best. I drew the whole thing with pen & ink. The woodcut-like hatching, which shows a clear imitation of Franklin Booth, is one of my favorite ways to render images. I inverted the colors by using white ink on backdrops that I spotted black beforehand.
