Yup, Jessica's radar picked up Reiko's little play… and she's not happy about it! Jessica has been bullied so much that this "manipulation radar" is very sharp.
My daughter has this radar, and it works very well even though she's only 4. Whenever she asks me why her mother and I are not together, I have to tell her candy coated replies like… "Mommy and daddy just couldn't get along." Then she'll look at me with that, "You're not telling me the whole story dad!" kind of look. I can't tell her the real reason because saying anything negative about the other parent is considered "child abuse"… even if the negative remarks are true.

In the last panel, Toshubi is a little insulted by Jessica's last statement. Toshubi doesn't see himself as a "cold blooded" killer. But in the eyes of an innocent child, he could easily be seen as such.
