So I've put a lot of thought into this major twist and hid a bunch of clues on the way that Eden is actually Cassidy's daughter. One was in comic #103 and #181, how pancakes are important to both of them for some reason. Another was that Ethan refers to Eden is a "wolf cub" in comic #104 and Cassidy has a howling wolf decor on his living room wall. And finally: how Cassidy is into video games, but he's not familiar with recent technology, meaning he died some while ago, while we know that Eden's parents died when she was little.
