Yes, Blood is the one who gave Shadow the green emerald. It was a birthday present for his tenth birthday, since young Shadow was always admiring the red that Blood owns. Shad just called him uncle B to the age of 13, then just B. He knew Maria as Mar-Mar till age 13, as well.
