I came across a sketchbook a few days ago that I thought was long lost. I love looking through my old sketchbooks…it's like a time capsule or a journal. You can see what I was interested in at the time, what may have influenced me, what I was reading, etc.
Anyway, I crack open the sketchbook and on the first page was one of the very first Blue Wraith character sketches. Much of the look is the same, but you can see where I had added a little more flair to the cape/belt and I think those are goggles on his face…I'm not sure why. I think I have a thing for goggles.
