Okay, its a crappy excuse for filler art but I've got a lot of coursework to get finished so I'm not sure I'll be able to undate this week.

Here's some info that might help you understand the next couple of pages:

The country is run primarily by the Emperor with a council of cardinals to assist his decissions. As Victorus broke off contact with the outside world he has also become a religious leader to the people dispite the fact that the Cheif Cardinal Zebeon in practice carries out most of these duties.

Alexandre, being the soul heir to Victorus, will inherit rule over the country upon his father's death. However, if Alexandre himself where to die then the next in line would be the Cheif Cardinal. In such turbulent times it is important to have strong allies that you can trust with your life. And they don't come much loyaler than Betzalel who, dispite holding on to his 'primitive beliefs', has served and loved Victorus more than any other could.
