In 1958, John Wayne made Rio Bravo at Tucson Studios. The film received favorable reviews, and was financially successful.
He was also known for his conservative political views and his support from the 1950s for anti-communist positions.
Wayne's co-star in Rio Bravo was Dean Martin.
