So I thought I would give shading by hand a try as I think I mentioned earlier. Long story short it took a long time. While I didn’t have to ink which I have always found a bit repetitive it took a long time to draw and still took a long time to do on the computer too. Part of that was the more complex layout I tried and part was that a choose to go with a darker shading rather then keep most of it closer to white (I've never been happy with my drawings when done that way even if I like others doing it). I might try again to shade by hand but I will probably wait a while before I do. For now I want to build up a buffer again and maybe have some time to go on a hike after I'm done with the comic for the day. Between how long it still takes me to finish a page (over 7 hours today), family visiting on the weekends, and taking part in the artist roulette on comic fury where I will start another comic, I am leaning towards the idea that I might only be able to update 5 days a week. Even if I do have to change the update schedule I will still be trying to make at least a page over the weekend so I will have a buffer. I am just not sure if I will be able to do two pages and would rather have a page up my sleeve to give to you later if I get too much buffer then miss a planed update.
