Author notes
So my community has decided to repave the entire parking lot. What this means is that for the past 3 days, there have been no cars in my development. At all. None. Zip. Nada. Another term meaning nothing. They've all been parked at the Methodist Church nearby (yay for Methodists selling out!), so everything in the neighborhood looks completely deserted, except for the occasional person walking to the church to pick up their car. Naturally, this has led me to act out my fantasy of waking up somewhere ala "28 Days Later." I've been running around screaming at anyone nearby about whether they're infected or not, and that I'll kill them in an instance if they are. Then I start breaking windows and rummaging through their fridges to find supplies for "the next horror-filled day." My neighbors are just happy that this fantasy involves me having pants on for once.
