Note for those who might be wondering: the kids turned to stone in the first panel are the Aoâ€“the thirteen kids of the Polynesian god of winds/storms, Tawhiri. They each represent a type of wind or cloud. Iâ€™ve theorized there might have been a fourteenth at one time, but no one wanted to worship the "breaking" wind.
