Intro: Where were we? Part 1

Hi All
Ok, as said, we are going back to the main story – but as it was quite awhile since there was last an update for it, I decided it prudent to update first with a ‘Where were we’ intro – just so that all the readers can catch up again.  It got so big, that I have to break it up in parts – so, please bear with me.
