Now I know this should be a strip, but I felt a little bit of backstory should be added, so here is the official Budgie backstory, kindly provided by Jos de Laat three years ago, promptly forgotten, buried, dug up, put in a shredder, pasted back together again and then sent through the british postal system (which inevitably delayed it by a couple of years).
