This page was kind of a spontaneous last-minute decision that happened in scripting - Shockwire and Whiplash weren't supposed to appear in this storyarc at all, but this scene helps me drive home the point that Vector's TV appearance is very much a planned act of spin-doctoring.

And if you're just tuning in, here's the DVD commentary - Shockwire and Whiplash were last seen in issue 2 during a training session at the Trident. Shockwire is currently in training to become a full-fledged Omega Squad member. The "Quinn" Whiplash is referring to is Alexander Quinn who was seen in issue 2 giving Vector the order for the botched attack on the Hellhounds that ended with Shadow nearly being crippled.

Err, yeah, I think that's it. By the way, the setup of this R&R room here is based on Scrubs. This is completely irrelevant information, but it makes me chuckle.

More of Shockwire and Whiplash hanging out together next issue, btw. At least that's the plan at the moment.
