I have a pair of Chucks that I swear I've had since 4th grade (my feet don't grow) and they used to be bright red. Now they're just sort of this dingy maroon-colour that reminds me of a carbuncle. I've drawn on them, over the years, so there are little marks on them; most the of the drawings have faded. Recently, I've taken to drawing the checkerboard on them (more than what's pictured; yes, I think my shoes have faces). My father's theory is that your favourite shoes make you run faster. I don't know if these are my favourites, but they're still shoes that I like (I have about 3 pairs of shoes in all).
