And so here is the first actual redrawn page!
Why is this hillbilly wandering in the woods? Because moonshine is actually prohibited (if you screw it up you could die!) so hiding the still deep in the woods was a pretty common thing in the countryside. Also, "seeing pink elephants" is an old euphemism for being so drunk you're hallucinating, it came up in a few old Looney Tunes shorts and in the movie Dumbo. I always found it amusing!
