Episodes like this are pretty much what he was talking about a few pages back, the kind what got his previous guardians killed. He warned them!

And OH GEEZ my workroom cat is being a horrendous pest today, I've spent more than 15 minutes trying to type these simple notes and he's trying to reenact this freak-out! Not in the cute "3-am top-speed run around the house" sort of way but in the "I must murder my own tail on the back of your chair and your head might get clawed in the process sorry not sorry" sort of way. It's not like I didn't pet him when he was stomping all over my legs and NOT sitting the hell down and pretending like was going to jump off but nope I'm just gonna WOBBLE here so you can't get anything done!

I need to get him another pheromone collar for cat anxiety…
