One way trains? Well there's a reason for that which we get into later, but the trains are *technically* not even running in Kellwood, and certainly not passenger trains, not since the 1970s. The tracks are in too poor condition and the trainyard is all but abandoned. When the freeway was built, trucks became the main transport of goods. The city decided that maintaining the rail just wasn't a priority. You can look around in real life and see in the U.S., the infrastructure is crumbling and trains are outright vilified by the auto industry, you can have trains going opposite directions on the same single track and a second rail only exists so trains can avoid collision by going around each other briefly (one's gotta stop and wait! When I rode a passenger train we had to stop like this several times while a freight train barreled past!)

Tony isn't the only train-hopping transient who was just trying to pass through and ended up at a dead-end in Kellwood though. It's almost as if something wants vagabonds and wanderers to end up here with no real way to leave…
