Moore Than Enough

Note: The conversation in this comic (minus the immolation) is a true story. Names have been changed in order to… Wait, no they haven't.

So for two strips I've ripped on Alan Moore - a legend in the comic writing field. I think maybe I should explain myself a bit.

I enjoy Moore's work. I'm a fan of Tom Strong and Watchmen of course, and I would love to finally get around to reading V for Vendetta. I have no personal grudge against the man, really. It's just that every time I read an interview with Moore, or read some news regarding him in any way, he comes off as a pompous jerk.

Alan Moore believes in his work. I get that. He's an artist and a creator, and he deserves to feel the need to protect his work. It's just that most of the public doesn't "get it" and he doesn't realize that. He may not feel the need to explain himself (the way I do) and he shouldn't have to, but it doesn't change the fact that he comes across as a total douche.

That said, will anyone let me borrow their copy of V for Vendetta? Or maybe From Hell?
