Mako's Professor makes a dramatic entrance, but unfortunately some of the wind is taken out of this by the reaction of the students.
Pokemon I was kind of hesitant about bringing into this cartoon world…because of its start in video games. But when I was a kid, I was in the thick of all of it, the games, the cards, and…regrettably the show. I mean it's still on-going…thats a good chunk of animation history. It took me about 3 movies to finally outgrow the show. Thats really it, it wasn't a bad show when I was 11-14 or so..but then i started looking for more in my entertainment, and really the show was now becoming a mobius strip. Ash never matured as a character, and it was always back to square one whenever he went somewhere new…but with everyone around him it was baffleingly opposite. His arch-rival Gary went from smug jerkwad rival to sort of friendly rival, to matured researcher. Gary went from Jerk to Bro, and Ash…is still Ash. He's also supposed to be the pokemon master that everyone identifies with, but he never has more than like 10 pokemon per season…so that "Gotta catch them all" quota is busted. And oft times in the older eps…not sure about the new stuff…Gym leaders just gave him badges. Looking back…I can understand why I liked it…and in a way I guess it gets new kids into it each time it resets…but…meh…But what do I know, its a kids show after all. Then again so is My little pong: friendship is magic and that show is…so awesome.
