PREVIEW - Character Sketch - Toro

BONUS UPDATE! I will still update on Friday.

This is a Photoshop collage of the "rejected" character sketches Adam penciled before we created Toro's final look. It took us an unusally long time to finish this character and I wanted to share these so you can enjoy Toro as much as we do. HINT: Toro has a shaved head in the final sketch.

As always, comments are very welcome.

wow, all those drawings are GREAT!!! .. I didn't really do a great job designing my characters for my comic, so they keep evolving. Although Erika's outfit took me an inordinate amount of time- and sketchpad paper- to design. (she was gonna wear a sleek trenchcoat, but I decided on bermuda shorts instead!!)
    cool stuff though~ as usual!!

Thanks. I've got an update I'm about 2 hours late on… probably another 30 minutes and it'll be up, lol!

I like your stuff. I can't wait to see the actual comic.

thanks peipei and subcultured. There's an update tomorrow (Friday) and we're getting seriously close to the first page. I'd be surprised if page 1 was released later than 2 weeks from now…

Eunice P - The comic pages are being finished now and are saved on my computer. We're getting ahead so there's little chance we'd ever miss an update…

In the mean time, I figured why not post some of the leg work we've already done?

    Thanks for your comments!

Heylo. Just seen some of your works. I like your inking quality! Oh, nice sketch by the way. So, where're the comic pages? :)

Phantom Penguin - That's because even when Adam doodles, he's awesome.

We just had a vision for this character and no matter what we drew, it just didn't sit quite right. Fortunately, we figured out. ;)

    thanks to everyone again.

    Thanks guys/gals!!

Antionestrife - I definitely agree with you on color design. It took me a while to dress these guys in matching, yet distinctly different outfits with similar yet different color schemes. (since they're all in the same military of sorts)

I heart artists - If you hang yourself, who will draw "hot thespian action"? The world must see that!

Speaking of which, I love Tera's comic. Check it out at http://www.drunkduck.com/Tera_forming

Yeah I struggle a few times to get a character right. I have more on the problem with color design. Which is why my characters ether have only one or two colors on there gear. Haven't mastered the muticolored charcters yet.

Such amazing work. I'm going to hang myself now;)

    Grrr! Envious!

You guys ever struggle to get a character 'just right'?
