This doggy is based on our family's first pet, Lanny. He is part German Shepperd, part Collie, part Husky. He's HUGE and kind-hearted and loyal and happy. When Lanny was only 8 weeks old, he had a terrible accident and almost lost his leg. He now has a steel rod in his right hind leg, hence the cartoon "bionic" leg. When he hears what he thinks is danger (or a call for cookies…), his ear shoots up like a satellite dish.

Did I mention he loves snow and hates yappy squirrels???
