Ugh, I hate this comic, and the next "Roommate Auditions comic" Likely when I redo this one it will be almost completely different. The only panels I kinda like are panel 2: cameo from much better comic Killroy and Tina and panel 4.

Ok, so today I wanna explain why I can't always do new pretty art. A given background (assuming I need a new one) can take anywhere from 4 to 16 hours to complete. You guys have only seen the livingroom and Nate's bedroom, but there are some pretty intricate outdoor backgrounds, I take a picture of the college campus, then I use it as a guide to draw a cartoon version of the same picture, then I scan that in, ink and color it and add crayon texture effects, the very simple looking kitchen (which you guys should see in a couple weeks) only took a couple hours, whereas the intricate picture of the quad from over the shoulder of the disco-jesus statue on a all evening took nearly 20 hours to finish. Even if I didn't work 50 hours a week it would be nigh impossible to update more than 3 days a week, especially when some comics have 3 or four differen backgrounds.
