This isn't the first comic we ever thought of, thats much harder to nail down, but this is the first comic ever "completed" I'm looking forward to redoing it, but that'll probably be a few months still.

Drawing new characters takes about 15-45 minutes per, depending on how complex the pose is and if my hand is just not working that day. So your standard comic is anywhere between 4 and 7 panels, with anywhere between 1 and 3 people in each panel, so, just drawing the characters for a comic can take 10 hours, easy. That doesn't include inking, inking and coloring a characer in paintshop takes usually a minimum of another hour and a half, so, each comic that is fully inked,if it needs new backgrounds can take 40 hours just to get the art for, add another 4 to put a complex one together, expecially if it has alot of text or after effects. You can see why I can't update great looking comics everyday, it's just not mathematically possible.

Granted I reuse art as often as I can without looking hokey (especially when re-releaseing archive strips) I'd say a more realistic "average" time is going to be about 7 hours. But 50 hours of working, plus 42 hours of sleep plus another 14 hours traveling and showers and such and I'm running out of time to update. As it is, 2 new comics a week with incomplete art on my other site and 1 new comic a week with fully retouched art here is miraculous.

If I get a girlfriend again, somehow, you'll likely see my work rate drop off alot.
