This is the first example I have of my art from what I call the "Late Lanky" period where I had ridiculously large man-boobs, and hand wrote the text on the balloons. However a couple of things are starting to stabalize artistically, I'm not entirely ashamed of this stuff, although I'm sure one day I will be.

Nateisms are little blurbs of text that I have either said or thought word for word. I would put these up when I didn't have time for a whole comic. This is the last one I did, and really one of my favoirtes. There are also Ryanalogies and Chuckosophies, but there are fewer of those. They'll go up on weekends eventually too.

This MAY also be the first appearance of "Friendly Mike's" in the comic. Friendly Mike's is the bar that we three go to the most often. It is based, not of a real bar, but of the nickname of a friend of ours from college (really more of a friend of Chucks) There were so many mikes and joes and katies and jesses that they would all have adjectitle nicknames so we could distinquish which joe we were talking about, sideshow joe or jesus joe, or maybe we were talking about hot jess, or pixie jess, etc.etc.

I only knew Friendly Mike in passing, sometimes I'd help DJ a party for him, but really, his nickname just stuck with me as a good bar title, so thats our bar.
