Ok lets see if I can explain this without being confusing.

Chuck Ryan and I are all DJ's. We don't make any money off it, we don't do it that often, but we still like to do it. We've all made some money doing it, both chuck and ryan have made far more money at it than I. Really its probably the biggest factor in Chuck meeting up with Ryan and I.

Freshman year of college we stole quite a few random traffic signs. Using them to decorate our dorms in classic college kid fashion. The Children at Play sign went over our gear and ended up being the name our DJing trio went as. When we offered our services to campus events for dances and such, we did it as "children at play" not chuck or ryan or nate, so if one us wanted to join the event we could, as long as one of us was able to work. When we threw a free rave where we all DJed we'd do it as children at play and each have a set of a certain length. so eventually when I decided to do a comic about us, it seemed the obvious name (although we have very little about DJing in the actual comic.)

DJ Tag-A-Long was my DJ name, because often I'd come along to a party where Ryan or Chuck was spinning and end up taking over half way through. This is the most recent vector children at play thing I've done, hopefully I'll have something for chuck and ryan as djs soon too!
