The title of this comic comes from how Chuck described how he thought the art for him looked when he first saw it. Often most of our in-jokes appear in comic titles, or just a bubble in panel 1 or 2 so it doesn't actually take away from the punchline. One of my goals with C@P was to make a comic where the reader was "in" on the in jokes. It's hard to do, most end up just telling jokes no one understands but them. A good example of how to do it right is strongbad: its funny even if its the first time you see it, but if you've seen all the other ones you start to get littler jokes that you wouldn't've even known were jokes otherwise.

When we get to this point in the directors vut we expect a pretty major stoyline to occur between the last comic and this one. The whole "us repairing the house" storyline. I don't think that one will ever hit the web though, I'ma save it for the book version only.
