Ok, so this probably comes of a little more ultra-liberal than I actually am. It's really more of a comment on the media than the war. This was drawn right at the beginning of the invasion when the media was constantly reporting on "Hey…They're shooting back!" which to me was ridiculous, because it's a fucking war! What did you expect! Them to be just like "Hi there American soldiars, we made you a pie!" Anyway wit the war stretching out the way it has I should probably comment on where I stand now, so those who are interested in politics can belittle me. I believe we should send more troops over there. Here's why. Firstly, thats what the troops that are actually over there think, and they're there they probably know a little more about it than me. If we pull out now, the country is going to descend into chaos, and we'll just be going back in four years. In order to finish their job the american troops need to both police the country to keep the status quo, and train the iraqi troops so THEY can police the country and keep the status quo. They only have enough troops to do half the job. So you send a bunch of troops in, get it done right, and THEN leave. If we had sent more troops in from the beginning I pretty firmly beleive we'd've been out of there by now. I hate this war as much as the next guy, but we got to finish it right or we're going to have to do it again later, and that would be ridiculous.
