I purposfully left off talking about willard scott too much yestarday because I hadn't introduced his name or anything yet. W/S is probably one of our favorite supporting characters. You can actually see him in the background of the second update artistically evolved and looking a little more badass. He may even have more comic time by later strips than Becky does, which is just sad. When we first introduced him, admittedly we didn't really know where we were going with him. We loved the character, as did alot of our readers (more vocally than any other character at least) but didn't have any real longterm plans for him. It took us a few months of brainstorming but nowadays he eventually becomes a force to be reckoned with, despite his lack of mobility.
