Scary Cuz It's True

Here's a funny story. Sunday night I spilled soda on my laptop. I immediately powered down and cleaned it with a damp cloth, left it off for a day. Turn it on the next day, the monitor isn't working. But it's not just "not working" I can see the logo and the windows loading screen fine, but then when it goes to load windows the moniter shuts off. To me this indicates that the mechanism that tells the laptop that it's closed is stuck so the laptop thinks it is always closed (because all the loading screens I can see still appear if the lappy is closed, and because I can hear my programs running) Now I don't know where this mechanism is to fiddle with it. Certainly it would stand to reason that its in the front base (thats something that would've gotten hit with the soda) but theres nothing metallic on the closing latches to act as a connection and no clear buttons that it would hit. I call dell to find out how the latch works and after wasting an hour and a half of my time and trying to tell me I need to reinstall my operating system I'm no closer to having a working lappy.

I'm going to go buy some canned air after work. But at the moment, I can't work on any new art. PErfect timing too, I only have like 4 projects I'm trying to work on.
