This is the first "who would win" conversation ever scripted, and really set the bar for all others. Alot of the elements introduced here are carried into other ones. Most notably pairing up a standard combatant in this type of query (in this case batman) with a character that is almost never put into a fight to the death (in this case willy wonka) and then finding all the abilities that the latter character has that everyone wouldn't normally think of. Theres also an element of personal preference involved for the different characters, Nate usually backs things he remembers fondly from his youth, thundercats, muppets, etc. nostalgic things. Ryan, being more of a dork in his spare time, usually backs dorky things, comic book characters, anime characters, etc. And chuck, being more interested in sports, war, fighting, real down to earth guy stuff, backs things that he perfers, hence R. Lee Emery in the earlier strip.

We're trying to incorporate one who would win strip in every storyline now, but the amount of quality control we perform on them is at least twice what a normal strip would receive.

We had no idea when we did this one that it would snowball like that :-)
