Ok, so we're officially setting up jokes for the next storyarch now. I just did a strip that throws back to this one this weekend. Suffice to say, you don't set up a bear trap and not use it. That, in a nutshell, is the essence of physical comedy…and professional wrestling.

Children at Play has a number of Story-arcs, and then they have a conglomeration of day-to-day type strips in between story-arcs. The next storyarc will be beginning in a couple weeks. It is, incidentally, the last story arc. Not really the "final" story arc of Children at Play, but it is still unfinished, and it will bring DD current to my archives. At which point, I'll likely drop down to 2 updates a week instead of 5, that's the best case scenario, really. The last 3 years of C@P have been plagued by 10 month long hiatuses. I have so many projects going on that it usually falls to the wayside. But it's never gone forever. C@P will always be my baby and every once in a while I get in a C@P mode and do like fifteen strips at once. We're storyboarded hundreds of comics in advance, so it's just a matter of me putting them into a version I can put online.

FYI, Higgens last line in this is TOTALLY a Ryan invention. You can tell, it just SOUNDS like him. It's usually the type of thing I nix as "funny, but not quite funny enough" but he must've won me over with this one.
