So, funny story about this page. I was thinking to myself yesterday morning that I needed to finish the last bit of shading on today's page. I open it up and realize that there's a panel missing and the last panel on the page works better on the next page. Crap. So I go and draw this new panel. I don't even bother to ink it before taking a picture, trying to save time and all. I get it loaded into photoshop, get the panels moved around, and get it inked, colored, and shaded in record time.
i made a copy and resized it for saving like I always do. I started typing in the file name (my photoshop files and my save files have different names to keep things easy to find) when I realized I already had a file with that name. I open that file up and realize it's a completely different page than the one I'm trying to save. After a few minutes of panic and repeating 'oh crap' in my head I figured out what had happened. The page I was panicking on is due to update on the 19th. The one with the file name I was trying to save is the page for the 12th. I hadn't saved today's page to the correct size and file format yet. As a result of my panel screw up, hlaf of my page for the 26th is done. Go me?

It's just one of those things you have to laugh about I suppose. It turns out I was way more efficient with my comic than I'd thought.

Anyways, getting back to today's page. Slightly wonky anatomy aside, I'm quite happy with how this page turned out. There are no buildings in the background as the buildings aren't in view. Yes, that's me being lazy with my backgrounds and coming up with some lame excuse.

You know what's funny though? Sahiren's pants have changed color. As has his belt style. the reason for this being that he's Sahiren. He doesn't like wearing dirty clothes and so would take the opportunity to put on clean ones. They've stopped in Andalosh for a little while so he'll change his clothes. Now, why doens't his shirt change? It did, actually, he just has more than one shirt of the same type. He knew what color Kishandren's dress was going to be and so deliberately pout on a shirt that would match. That's royalty for you.

What I like: I really like panel 2. I'm quite happy with how the composition turned out. It took me hours to get everything in there just right. It's a little hrd to make the adjustment from 100% digital to drawing traditionally as it does some weird things to my paneling. I'm working on the problem and later pages than this do have more than two panels per page.

What I don't like: The hands! Oh man the hands! I really suck at hands even when I'm using references. To explain, I pretty much always use references for my hands. Sometimes I don't, but mostly I do. When doing things digitally, it's easier to do this as I can zoom in on my canvas. Not so much with drawing this way. Sure, I try to fix it when I get to the digital version, but it's not always easy or possible. So, learning to do this now.
