Interesting Fact: Silence was one of the unwritten rules of Italian mafia. Omerta forbade its members to co-operate with the police - under the penalty of death. Traitors were executed with a lupara - a sawn-off shotgun, originally used for wolf-hunting in the dense Sicilian woods.
