Interesting fact: The term "pure chemistry" is commonly applied to food products made exclusively - or predominantly - of non-organic substances. Sodas are a typical example, as they contain nothing mora than water, carbon dioxide, aspartam, citric acid and artificial colorants and aromas. Another example is vanillin and its stronger version, ethylvanillin - artificial aromas imitating vanilla.
