Interesting fact: Eggs go bad if unfertilized during the incubation stage or due to the passing of time. The characteristic stench of rotten eggs is hydrogen sulphide, produced by the multiplying bacteria. Eggs intended for consumption should not be fertilized, as that helps them stay fresh longer.
