Interesting fact: It's believed that the dachshund breed originated around 14th century in Germany, where they were used for hunting badgers (hence the name Dachshund). It's possible that their history is longer, though. Much longer. The oldest images of the peculiar, short-legged dogs have been discovered in an old Egyptian temple in Bescheb.
