Interesting fact: The meat industry is generally known for often resorting to less-than-legitimate ways to increase output and lower the costs. A popular way to thicken the meat is by adding wheat starch. Also, sausages have been found to contain not just just the meat but also leftovers from the slaughterhouse, like cartilage, tendons, skin, bones, not to mention body parts like mouths, noses or eyes.
