To clear up any confusion some readers may have, this is not the same sniffer from the shop. If a character takes a sharp object to the head in Chooken, they stay dead. What I hope this establishes is that there is more than one. They're not terribly smart, but they are just about the best thing the bad guys have to hunt down the birds. Plus I hope some people find them creepy…

If you're a very dedicated Chooken fan you may notice 2 new things in this strip. The first is, yes, Burg does have legs. I didn't realise until I was finished that this is the first time I've drawn them in the comic. They were part of his new look but up until now I've only shown him from the chest up. The other, is Chookens wings. They're no longer as short and stumpy as they used to be. To be honest, I've wanted to change them for a long time, as they've been causing some problems in action scenes (his short wings make holding a gun look silly).
