Hooray, I finally own a decent set of pens for art stuffs now! I haven't owned a set of Microns since high school (10 years ago), so this oughtta be interesting when I do sit down to use them.
Sorry for the interruption, but there was just a commercial on TV for "The Hasselhoffs" and it was showing a toddler with CHEST HAIR walking on a beach. WTF?! hahaha!
Anyway. Yeah, Microns! I've been wanting a set for about a month now because I have another couple of projects I'd like to work on, as well as finally get some fan art done for some people whose comics I enjoy (take a peek at some of my more serious artwork! Warning: Mature content (not adult, just mature)). :)
I am worried about being really out of practice with inking though, it's been years since I've really sat down and seriously inked something. I've been working almost strictly digital for I don't know how long. Funny how that works, how I preferred pencil, pen, and paper for years, and now here I am sort of fighting myself to go BACK to that. Anytime I do sit down and draw with a pencil, I find it much quicker to produce something, so I guess that's something to look forward to.
I don't think I'll switch this comic to pen and paper though, because it would look totally different I think, and I just don't think it would work :)
@Kira: Actually she's pretty creative herself! She made that pillow in the video, as well as picking out the whole color scheme and furniture, etc for our house :) I also keep wanting to make a comic featuring the both of them, but I figure I'll save that idea for a rainy day or something ;)
@Ayesinback: you betcha! Although when we were younger we both had differently colored hair (use your imagination haha)
@Cross: Thanks! Heh, I'm excited for when he finally gets here so the REAl fun can start :D
@JT: It used to bother me all the time to the point where I'd just quit and not draw another thing for a long while. But I think with this comic, it's helped me worked through that, but making me try to stick to a deadline and make sure I get SOMETHING done :) Especially when people are expecting something new!
@Net: haha I can understand that! my next couple of projects aren't just me doodling about my day, I'm actually having to *write* a story for them. It has been an exercise in pure frustration for me so far, as I want to start getting the artwork done for them but I don't think I have the story fleshed out enough!! D: It's either that or I don't like something about the story and I'll end up rewriting it and argh :/
@Sushi Boy: we love our little monkeys ;)
@WolfEclipse: my wife was hoping someone would notice the pillow! She says thank you :)
@Maycroft: I refuse to let it stop me from creating art from now on though (it used to bother me really bad).
