6 page update, finally bringing my DD page here to current! Anyway, this is what was written on my main page:

Hey guys, sorry I haven’t updated in so long. As the comic says, I’ve been in this weird art funk lately. What sucks is I could feel it coming on in my last few comics, where I was just HATING how they looked as I started in on them.

I think part of the reason may have to do with how much work was needing done on Nathan’s room. There was still SO much to do, and here we are with a little over a month left. Actually, LESS than a month because February is a short holiday! So yeah. I think I was starting to freak out quite a bit there that I had so little done, and still had SO much to do with SO little time to do it in.

Well, that’s all changed now, as I really just dug deep and did a ton of work on his room. I can safely say that he can now live in it and we can successfully take care of him in it. All necessities for a nursery have been met :) I think it’s why I finally felt good about doing a comic tonight. I’m having to skip a whole week’s worth of strips, some that I thought had really funny jokes behind them too, but I just can’t let myself get that far behind. I’m skipping them for my benefit, and yours as well, because you’re reading new ones now!

The only things that are really missing from his room now are decorations, which are all in the process of being made. Her mother is sewing together a mobile based on the theme of the room, and I will be painting two 12×12 canvases, also based on the theme of the room (a rocketship/space theme).

I’ve also got that wedding invitation for Dan and Rei that I need to draw up and send over to start getting feedback on for what to improve on, etc etc, and then I also want to make up a something little special for them as well. I should be getting that all going this week now that his room is done, thank goodness. And if Rei is anything like my wife was, I’m sure she is freaking out big time about everything getting done haha. So if you’re reading this, I’m sorry, Rei!! I’ll have something to you VERY soon!

Soooo hmm. What else. OH!! I totally went old school with this comic, and inked it using an actual bottle of ink and brushes! So my lines are shaky like crazy, but I’ll be honest and say that I had a ton of fun inking it that way, and learned a LOT about it in the process. So yep! Look forward to that!

I suppose that’s all I really have to talk about. My sincere apologies for being so late, and here’s hoping that my batteries have been recharged so I can continue making new comics! Thank you all so much for reading, as always :)
