Well now that the Duck seems to be getting everything back in order, let's try to get this comic caught back up, shall we? ;) I know there's still a bunch of pages missing from when the Duck went amuck months ago, and I will have that recitfied soon!
Taken from christophercomic.com:
And so begins the hardest week of my life. I knew that raising a kid
was going to be tough. I severely underestimated exactly how tough,
especially the first week of his life.
Still, the moment we laid eyes on him, we both knew that we would do anything for him.
What we gathered from that night was that he was having troubles with
gas. Y’see, instead of sending Natey off to the nursery for the night
for the nurses to take care of him, my wife and I wanted to take on
raising him immediately, especially so we knew what we were in for when
we got home. The nurses would still pop into our room every once in a
while to see if we needed anything. Finally after listening to Nathan
cry all evening and into the wee hours of the morning, we asked a nurse
if there was anything she could do to help his gas problem.
“Oh, well we can take him back to the nursery if you’d like,” is what the nurse said.
That’s NOT the answer we were looking for. We wanted to know how to
HELP him, not ship him off to the nursery so that he’s someone else’s
problem!!! Ugh. She wouldn’t be the last nurse to annoy the dickens out
of me before we left the hospital, I’ll say that!
The rest of the week after this day seems to be a blur, but I’ll do
my best to drag it out of my memory! Thank you all so much for reading,
you all are awesome
