50. Chapter 03: Episode 06: Important Task

Yes, for the 50th, I decided to draw the comic. This is, in fact, my artwork. Now, some of you may be wondering why, since I do have a bit of drawing talent (not much, but a bit), I don't just draw this comic.

Two reasons. 1) I wanted to do a sprite comic and 2) I'm already drawing two comics three times a week…seemed like too much work to do three three times a week. If I were to do that, it probably wouldn't be about Chrono Trigger, anyway since I do have other comic ideas.

But yeah…non-sprite comics for the specials.

As you can see, I took some liberties with the art, including making the characters in my own design rather than trying to copy Akira Toriyama's design and I made the clothes less baggy. I also changed up the layout of the windows in the castle so that I could have Biff sitting on the windowsill and still be in line of sight of Marle.

In particular, I'm quite happy about how the background in panel 5 turned out. I tried to keep that true to the game design. Not sure what those big black things are. My best guess is giant batteries.
