Chrono Trigger tends to like doing this: attacking certain parts before you attack other parts.
Or in Lavos's first form, the beak. Or with the dragon tank, attacking certain parts because one part heals the entire thing or whatever.
Oh, and speaking of these big bosses, I think I'm going to make the panels bigger on their fights. I barely got everyone and Giga Gaia to even fit on the screen.
